2010 Building Healthy Lifestyles Conference - Venue

The 5th Annual Building Healthy Lifestyles Conference is held on the Arizona State University at the Polytechnic campus. The University sits on the site of the Williams Field Air Force Base, built in 1941 to train pilots for World War II. The base closed in 1993 during the downsizing of the U.S. military bases.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2010 Building Healthy Lifestyles Conference - History

The Building Healthy Lifestyles Conference is in its 5th year as the inspiration of Dr. William Stone, retired founding Chair for the Arizona State University Exercise and Wellness program. Dr. Stone envisioned a national conference that would address important health concerns that are modified by regular physical activity and healthful nutritional practices. The conference is designed to be a student-centered event with 3rd year PhD students organizing many of the activities.
