Clinical Track Non-Tenure Faculty Position - Master of Healthcare Innovation Program
The College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University invite qualified candidates to apply for a Clinical Track Non-Tenure Nine- Month Faculty position with the Master of Healthcare Innovation Program.
The ideal candidate for faculty in the MHI program will be doctorally prepared in a healthcare, educational, or a leadership related discipline, with at least 5 years of recent experience in the healthcare arena. The ideal candidate will bring with them a track record of innovation and the ability to challenge assumptions and the status quo. A strong background in leadership and complexity science are required.
Exemplary communication abilities and a high level of comfort with ambiguity and rapid change are key characteristics of this position. We are seeking a candidate who will successfully carry a substantial teaching load, focus on the continual refinement of the learner-centered program curriculum, and otherwise support the program and the director in creating the best student experience.
The Master of Healthcare Innovation Program (MHI) is a 33-credit program that utilizes a hybrid online format to meet the diverse needs of its students working and living at a distance. Under the direction of Dr. Jack Gilbert, the MHI program offers a futuristic, multidisciplinary, educational approach to the development of healthcare leaders so they can successfully lead innovation and transformation in Healthcare in both traditional and non-traditional healthcare settings. Students accepted into this program come from a variety of disciplines including nursing, health sciences, and from outside of Healthcare. They learn new processes to develop and successfully implement innovative solutions to healthcare challenges.
Required Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in healthcare, education, leadership, or a closely related area.
- At the Assistant level: demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity and leadership in professional activities.
- At the Associate level: demonstrated record of scholarly achievement and external funding acquisition, leadership in professional activities, and evidence of eaching effectiveness in teacher education.

- Experience and a track record of innovation and the ability to challenge assumptions and the status quo.
- Experience with diverse learners.
- Demonstrated understanding of leadership theory and complexity science and how to apply it to innovation leadership in healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners.

We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Track Nine-Month non-tenure faculty position who will teach in the Master of Health Innovation program.
Clinical Track Faculty position:
Clinical faculty are nontenured, nontenure-eligible faculty members who are qualified by training, experience, or education to direct or participate in specialized university functions, including student internships, training, or other practice components of degree programs. They are appointed as clinical associate professors, or clinical professors. This position is for a 9 month appointment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Didactic, online and instruction with specialty area.
- Demonstration of current knowledge in field with ability to translate and extend that knowledge to students.
- Incorporation of scholarly and creative activities into practice and teaching.
- Participation and leadership through appointed and voluntary activities that contribute to the college, university and community.
