Arizona Consortium for the Advancement of Evidence-Based Practice

Largely due to the efforts of the Center for the Advancement of Evidence-Based Practice leadership, the first state-wide consortium for the advancement of EBP was established in May 2005. During the first 8 months of 2005, more than 50 agencies from across Arizona sent their experts in healthcare to work together through the Arizona Consortium for the Advancement of EBP (AZCAEP) to improve healthcare delivery, settings and outcomes for Arizonans.

Building on current EBP efforts in Arizona, small, rural agencies are joining with large tertiary care centers to advance EBP through data-driven EBP initiatives with demonstrated outcomes. The three initiatives that address the top AZCAEP priorities are: 1) assessment of the status of EBP in Arizona; 2) EBP mentorship; and 3) leadership training for advancing EBP in Arizona.  AZCAEP invites all healthcare agencies within Arizona to participate and work together to further advance EBP in our state…“To the Health of Arizonans!”
