Academic nursing education programs are challenged to integrate evidence-based practice (EBP) into their curricula to produce future nurses to become evidence-users. Likewise, health care organizations are integrating EBP into their systems where clinicians are expected to use the best available evidence to impact patient outcomes. Attending the EBP Clinical/Nurse Educator Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for clinicians and nurse educators to network, learn the EBP process, acquire teaching strategies, and develop EBP mentorship skills. Networking with others provides an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of clinical issues, collaborate with others of like interest and acquire teaching strategies that can be used in the academic and clinical settings. The EBP Clinical/Nurse Educator Mentorship Program fosters collaboration, mentorship, leadership and strategies to develop academic-practice partnerships that will bring the best evidence to the point of care to improve patient outcomes.
