Nurse Educator Mentor Track

Participants Will Develop Strategies To:

  • Foster clinical inquiry
  • Develop answerable clinical questions
  • Critically appraise, synthesize and use research as evidence for clinical decision-making
  • Use internal evidence to affect outcomes
  • Apply evidence to practice
  • Evaluate outcomes of application of evidence
  • Develop skills for working as an inter- and intra-disciplinary team to accomplish best practices.

Participants Who Attend The Program Will Be Able To:

  • Evaluate their school of nursing’s foundational and curricular documents to advance EBP in the academic setting
  • Develop strategies to teach and integrate EBP in the curriculum
  • Design course syllabi and teaching plans that incorporate strategies and assignments based on the steps of the EBP process
  • Mentor other faculty to advance and sustain EBP in their academic setting

Who Should Apply:

Nurse educators teaching in nursing programs who have a spirit of inquiry, a creative mind, and a desire to produce evidence-based practitioners.

Program Fees:

Please do not send fees with application.

  • Individual participant: $2,500
  • Participant Group of 3 or more from same agency: $2,250 each
  • Fees due upon acceptance
  • Fees paid after beginning of the program will incur a 10% late processing fee

More Information and Application:

Applicants will be selected for enrollment in the program upon review of the EBP Mentorship Application Form by the CAEP faculty. Applicants who are accepted into the program will be EBP Mentorship candidates and will be notified by e-mail. An EBP mentorship candidate packet will be sent via email to each admitted participant.
