National Institute of Mental Health Outreach Partner

The state of Arizona has a severe shortage of mental health providers with 120 child psychiatrists and none in five of the state’s 15 counties, as well as only 34 psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners. The shortage results in a much lower healthcare provider-to-patient ratio than the national average.
