Nursing dean named to U.S. Preventative Services Task Force

The dean of the College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University, Bern Melnyk is a recognized leader in evidence-based practice. Most of the 16 members of the USPSTF are nationally noted physicians.

The only other nurse on the task force is Lucy Marion, PhD, RN, dean and professor at the School of Nursing, Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta. Nurse Practitioner World News, summer 2008.
