Office for Research and Scholarship
The Office for Research and Scholarship (ORS) at the College of Nursing and Health Innovation provides a wide range of services to faculty and students who are conducting research or preparing grant proposals. The ORS promotes the success of faculty researchers and scholars who are committeed to the process of discovery.
The ORS seeks to advance the mission of the College of Nursing and Health Innovation to optimize health in a culturally diverse, global community.
Services of the ORS are designed to enhance the research capacity of the college by supporting all aspects of the development, conduct, and dissemination of research.
Research and Teaching Centers in the College
- Center for Healthy Outcomes in Aging - The primary purpose of the center is to develop and test interventions that promote the highest level of health and quality of life for individuals who are aging within a culturally diverse society.
- Center for Improving Health Outcomes in Children, Teens and Families - The Center for Improving Health Outcomes in Children, Teens and Families focuses on multidisciplinary research to develop and test interventions that will lead to optimal health outcomes for high-risk children, teens, and families in a culturally diverse world.
- Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence - The mission of ASU's College of Nursing and Health Innovation Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence is to significantly increase the number of high quality doctoral and post-doctoral level faculty in geriatric nursing needed to teach in graduate and undergraduate academic nursing programs throughout Arizona and surrounding Southwestern states.
- Healthy Lifestyles Research Center is the focal point for funded research by Center faculty with expertise in physical activity, nutrition, wellness, and health sciences. The overarching goal of the HLRC is to facilitate interactions among faculty that promote collaborative research into diverse aspects of how daily lifestyle habits and actions impact both short and long term health, chronic disease risk, and quality of life.
