Procession
We ask you to have your family, friends, and guests go directly to the Phoenix Convention Center. Convocation will be held in the West Building. Graduates will report to the College of Nursing and Health Innovation building no later than 8:15 am. Students and faculty will proceed to the Convention Center in full regalia. Once all graduates have processed into the auditorium, please remain standing until you are asked to be seated.
Recession
At the conclusion of the convocation ceremony, we ask you to refrain from tossing your mortarboard into the air for your own safety and the safety of other graduates.
Guests and Tickets
Tickets are required for the convocation ceremony. We ask that students limit the number of guests to no more than eight (8). You will be given more information on distribution of convocation tickets at a later date. Remember there will be unlimited seating at the Commencement Ceremony held at Wells Fargo Arena on Thursday, December 17, 2009. Please contact the University Ceremonies Office for information on commencement and special interests convocations. In addition, please let your guests know that the Phoenix Convention Center does not allow balloons or confetti at their facility.

Parking will be available in the West and Regency Garages. Public parking is also available at any of the many garages located in the Copper Square area. There will be a charge for parking.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are not provided at the Phoenix Convention Center. Should one of your guests require the services of one, you will need to handle that prior to arriving at the Convention Center. There are steps leading in to the Convention Center.
Photography
Chappell Studio will take professional photographs of all graduates as they receive personal congratulations from the dean. Graduates will get proofs within 7 to 10 days by mail. You will be given a card to complete at rehearsal and we will give the completed cards to the photographer on the day of convocation.
