Nutrition Programs - News and Announcements

  • Keith Martin, Assistant Professor, discusses his research in a Washington Post article relating to mushrooms and their affect on our immune systems.
  • New Master of Science in Nutrition with Dietetic Concentration Degree - The Nutrition Programs announces a non-thesis MS geared specifically for registered dietitians. We have developed the MS in Human Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics specifically for RDs seeking to continue their education, advance their skill level as practitioners, and reach their career goals. To be eligible, applicants will need to have a minimum of 2,080 hours (or, one year full-time equivalent) of work experience since becoming credentialed as an RD. Students will be able to enroll part- or full-time, and course offerings will cater to working professionals (e.g., courses held one evening a week, some courses online). This is a 30-credit MS, including six credits of research methods and three credits of statistics. Instead of a thesis, students will complete an applied project focused on the practice of dietetics.  More...
