Dean Bernadette Melynk
Dr. Bernadette Melnyk, the Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, brings her dynamic vision and progressive leadership style to the college. Dr. Melnyk specializes in nursing care of children, is a pediatric nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
A roven leader, Dr. Melnyk has implemented major strategic initiatives for the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, including a new Center for Advancement of Evidence-based Practice. Nursing Research

ASU nursing faculty are engaged in research on a variety of nursing topics and recognize its importance to teaching and to evidence-based practice. Five community-embedded Nurse-Managed Health Centers and partnerships with Arizona healthcare agencies provide opportunities for basic and applied research.
The newly created Office for Research & Scholarship provides the infrastructure for our faculty researchers and scholars who are committed to the process of discovery. In addition, the Center for Advancement of Evidence-based Practice, the Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, as well as the Center for Improving Health Outcomes in Children, Teens and Families have been created to address the specific needs of our state and communities. Exceptional Academic Programs

From a program that graduated only six nurses in 1960, the College of Nursing and Health Innovation has grown to include more than 8,000 graduates. The college has evolved from a small baccalaureate program to the largest educator of nurses in Arizona. Additionally, ASU's College of Nursing and Health Innovation is the first in the nation to offer a Master of Healthcare Innovation degree.
