Scholarships
There are many scholarships made available by private donations. The dollar value of each scholarship varies, as do the requirements for each scholarship, which are based on the criteria established by the donor of the scholarship. They may be awarded based on merit, financial need and/or specific academic criteria. Unlike loans, awards and scholarships do not have to be repaid.
Application Deadline
The deadline for applying for 2012 scholarships was February 1, 2012 at midnight. Applications for 2013-2014 scholarships will be accepted beginning in November 2012.
The process for applying for scholarships is now an on-line process. Please visit the new ASU Scholarship Application Portal to search for and submit applications. You will be asked to enter your ‘personal information’ and it is suggested that you enter your College of Nursing and Health major in the ‘major’ search field to yield all results for scholarships for which you are eligible.
Free application for federal student aid (FAFSA). Students who complete a FAFSA will be eligible for consideration for scholarships that require financial need.
Once scholarship awards are made, students will be notified via e-mail whether or not they have been selected to receive a scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Note: ASU uses various institutional funding sources when awarding students university merit scholarships. University merit scholarships may be comprised of funds from selected college, departmental or ASU-affiliated private scholarships, up to the total value of your original award. Students will continue to receive all non-monetary benefits (events, recognitions, etc.) associated with all scholarships received. Information subject to change.
College of Nursing and Health Innovation Scholarships
The nursing and health scholarships in each of the categories listed are comprised of endowed and/or annual gifts held at the ASU Foundation for a New American University. The dollar value of each scholarship varies, as do the requirements for each scholarship, which are based on the criteria established by the donor of the scholarship.
