Caring for Others in Uncaring Times

Event Description

Lui broke barriers as the first Asian American man to anchor a daily cable news program in 2007. Then, his father was diagnosed with dementia, and life changed dramatically as he joined 53 million Americans in becoming a family caregiver.

He participated in a fireside chat with David Coon, center director and associate dean and professor at the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation, and Julia Wallace, Frank Russell Chair in the Business of Journalism at the Cronkite School. Adrienne Fairwell, the general manager of Arizona PBS, will introduce the panel.

Lui provided insights from his caregiving journey and shared how it helped him become a better human being.
