Project Description:
The influence of COVID-19 on daily life has been felt by all, but individuals with underlying medical conditions and older adults are at particularly high risk for negative outcomes and have been encouraged to maintain social distance. Individuals aged 50 or older completed an online survey to learn more about COVID-19’s impact on social isolation, loneliness, and access to health care services. Initial results showed that as many as 43% of respondents missed a medical appointment due to COVID-19. Following additional data analysis, the lead researchers will distribute information focused on promoting physical and emotional health during the ongoing pandemic
