Congratulations to CHPDP Graduate Dr. Ana Renteria Mexia!

Congratulations to Ana Renteria Mexia for receiving her PhD in Exercise and Nutritional Sciences through ASU's College of Health Solutions! Dr. Renteria Mexia's dissertation, titled “Effects of a Lifestyle and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Intervention on Biomarkers of Oxidative Stress in Obese Prediabetic Latino Youth,” was completed under the mentorship of Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Director, Dr. Gabriel Shaibi. Dr. Renteria Mexia will resume her role as a Professor of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the Sonoran Institute of Technology in Sonora, Mexico where she will continue to study the effects of obesity on health among Latino children and families. The CHPDP team is proud of Ana’s hard work and accomplishments!
