NEW FUNDING ALERT!!!
New funding will test game-based interventions to promote vaccine uptake in youth
Congratulations to Dr. Angela Chia-Chen Chen, Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators; Drs. Elizabeth Reifsnider and Michael Todd from Edson College and Dr. Ashish Amresh, Senior scientist from ASU’s Decision Theater on their recent grant. The team was awarded funding for a 2-year project from the Merck Investigator Studies Program to examine the preliminary efficacy of game-based interventions that will compare and contrast critical vaccine uptakes in vulnerable youth.
The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented many adolescents from receiving vaccines, including those for human papillomavirus (HPV) and COVID-19. This proposed study aims to conduct timely research that promotes vaccine confidence and uptake of two strongly recommended vaccines with suboptimal uptake rates in vulnerable and underserved youth aged 11-14.
Congratulations to the entire team on this very important project!
