Pohl is an assistant professor in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She investigates the health implications of caregiver and older adult social connectedness and the multiple aspects of isolation, with attention on the conceptual definition and measurement of the social isolation construct for research and clinical assessment. Pohl is the recipient of University of California Davis and Arizona State University Fellowships.
