Biography

M. Margaret Calacci is a clinical associate professor in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University. She serves as the Director of the Grace Center for Innovaton in Nursing Education. As Director, she oversees systems operations, teaching and learning for approximately 80,000 student hours annually. Students in the Edson College get hands-on experiential learning using deliberate practice techniques to develop skills and simulation experience with minimal risk because the patients are either actors or high fidelity lifelike mannequins. In addition to the above responsibilities Ms. Calacci provides faculty coaching in her specialty of simulation, mentoring and development of new nurse educators.

When away from ASU she enjoys her children, their dog and travel.
