Arizona State University professors Dr. Kathy Malloch, PhD, MBA, RN, FAAN and Dr. Tim Porter-O’Grady have received a 5-star review and a perfect score of 100 from Doody’s Review Service for their book titled Leadership in Nursing Practice: Changing the Landscape of Health Care, Second Edition. This is the pair’s second honor from Doody’s!

The book provides nursing students with the leadership skill-set they will need when entering the field. It distinguishes between leadership and management and emphasizes translation applications that prepare the student for transition into leadership roles. The text also covers many different topics including leadership, transitioning to the professional role, time management, finance/fiscal management, communication/negotiation, ethical decision making, career management, and much more.

Cynthia Lee Cummings, RN, MSN, EdD, of Doody’s Review Service says, “I love this book. It is full of wonderful information about the current healthcare environment and it has many resources for instructors. All healthcare leaders should have this book!”

Doody’s Review Service is described as the most comprehensive and trusted collection development tool on the Web. The service provides extensive tools to allow professors, academics, and the like to research titles and keep up-to-date with the latest books and software in the health sciences.

Congratulations to Dr. Malloch and Dr. Porter-O’Grady!
