The Live @ HEAL October speaker series will feature Andrew Steele, co-founder and CEO of BeckonCall, speaking on "Disrupting Health Care Through Software: How a Disruptive Focus on Clinical Workflows can Dramatically Improve the Cost and Quality of Care Delivery."
It’s no secret that the healthcare industry is woefully slow in embracing technology to enable change and improvement. While much of the focus around innovation in healthcare tends to center around the life sciences, devices and treatment protocols, there is massive opportunity to create a significant, positive impact on the cost of care delivery and patient outcomes by innovating on clinical and care delivery workflows with software, just as the last two decades have shown in the enterprise sector. We’ll discuss how the success stories and lessons learned in the enterprise can be applied to create meaningful improvement in our health are delivery system.
Andrew Steele is a serial entrepreneur and currently the CEO of BeckonCall, a clinical communication technology platform he founded with Dr. Jeffrey Becker. After almost two decades building technology enabled businesses in the Silicon Valley, Andrew moved to Arizona in 2014 and has become very active in the local startup and technology community. In addition to serving as CEO of BeckonCall, he also serves on the boards of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation at Taliesin West and the Foundation for Blind Children.
