Tara Perkins, a CONHI Graduate Student and CHPDP Research Assistant, has placed second in the Institute of Social Science Research (ISSR) poster competition! 

Congratulations to the winners of the ISSR Graduate Student Poster Competition!

 A total of $6600.00 was awarded to 12 contestants in the spring semester competition held on March 23rd at the Memorial Union.  We are very excited to report participation from 24 units, within 6 colleges from all four campus locations.

 1st Place – Ziru Li (WPC) – How do ride sharing services drive traffic congestion (proposed research)

1st Place - Claudine Gravel-Miguel (SHESC) - Exploring the long-tern impacts of climate change on social networks (completed research)

 2nd Place – Tara Perkins (CONHI) – Using integrative mixed methods to assess the relationship between stress and resilience as mediated by coping (proposed research)

2nd Place – Jenna Rudo-Stern (Psych) – Collateral effect of the family check-up on physical activity: a randomized control trial (completed research)

 3rd Place – Grant Snitker (SHESC) – Anthropogenic fire and the origins of agricultural landscapes: human niche-construction during the Neolithic (7,700-4,500 cal. BP) in Eastern Spain (proposed research)

3rd Place – Naomi Andrews (SSFD) – The role of the victim in dominance theory: associations between aggressor’ targeting behavior and their social network status (completed research)
