Master of Science in Nursing (Nursing Education) - Department of Labor Grant

The Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation - with the support of a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor - is excited to offer scholarship opportunities beginning in fall 2023 for eligible, new students pursuing the Master of Science in nursing (nursing education) program. Funding is expected to be available for five years for 140 students to complete the master’s program.
The master’s in nursing education is designed for Registered Nurses to advance their careers as nurse educators in academic and practice settings. There are two entry options:
- BSN to MS for BSN-prepared nurses.
- RN to MS for associate degree-prepared nurses.
Scholarships will help cover the cost of tuition and fees and some support services for students who qualify.
MS Nursing (Nursing Education) Program Details
- 33 credits in length for BSN-prepared nurses.
- Associate degree-prepared nurses will take two additional courses (6 credits) as a bridge from the RN to MS for a total of 39 credits.
- Plan of study is designed for working professionals.
- Coursework is 100% online, with in-person practicums.
- Scholarship recipients will attend virtual immersion sessions throughout the program. '
