Innovation Leadership Fund

The Innovation Leadership Fund is the first of its kind in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation, specifically geared toward enhancing innovation and leadership related-projects through private philanthropic support. By embedding innovation and leadership into all that we do, we can strengthen our college’s focus on innovation and elevate the leadership roles of nurses and other health professionals.
Established by Edson colleagues and renowned health innovation and nursing leadership experts Dr. Kathleen Malloch, Dr. Katherine Kenny and Dr. Tim Porter-O’Grady, the Innovation Leadership Fund generates financial assistance for students and faculty, with a preference for those in the following programs:
- BS Health Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- BAS Applied Science (Health Entrepreneurship and Innovation)
- Master of Healthcare Innovation (MHI)
- DNP Innovation Leadership
- PhD in Nursing and Healthcare Innovation
Funds may be used for expenses related to a project and/or conference (to include registration fees and travel). Limit to one award per student, per academic year. Students must be enrolled in one of the above academic programs, must be in good academic standing, and must have a minimum 3.00 GPA.
To apply, students must submit a one to two-page proposal that includes the background, significance, outline how the opportunity relates to innovation, and how the outcomes of the project/conference. Please note that submissions over two pages will not be reviewed. The proposal must also include a verified budget. All applicants agree to submit an impact summary post-project/conference.
