The center’s engagement activities are driven through the Community Engagement Core, with the following purposes:

1. Engage local community members, agencies, and stakeholders in order to build the center’s capacity for developing, testing, and translating health promotion and disease prevention research.
2. Expand the reach and impact of the Center’s research.
3. Speed the translation of evidence-based research into practice and programs.
