Student Research Opportunities Overview

The Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (CHPDP) offers a variety of student research opportunities to gain mentored experience in the following activities:

  • Understand theory behind health promotion and disease prevention
  • Clinical research laboratory experience
  • Data collection and statistical analysis
  • Delivery of health promotion interventions in the community
  • Study recruitment and enrollment

Requirements:

  • Interest in health promotion and disease prevention among vulnerable populations
  • Spanish speaking students are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Minimum 2-semester lab commitment requirement (must have 2 or more remaining semesters in school)
