Health Care Compliance and Regulations (HCCR) Clinical Track Faculty Position
Arizona State University, Edson College of Nursing & Health Innovation is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Health Care Compliance and Regulations (HCCR) degree program. This position requires in-person participation as a clinical track faculty member. This is not a remote teaching position.
- Demonstrates expert knowledge in the field and the ability to transmit and extend that knowledge to students and others through dynamic, stimulating and creative strategies.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop critical, creative thinkers through continuous planning, analyses, evaluation and revision of courses and workshops.
- Demonstrates current knowledge in the field and sustained effectiveness in teaching in the classroom and clinical area.
- Teaches in a variety of environments, which may include classroom, community/internships or distance/online.
- Teaches on multiple campus sites as required/applicable
- Develops, implements and evaluates innovative teaching methods.
- Incorporates scholarly and creative activities into clinical practice and teaching.
- Participates in professional service through membership on elected, appointed, and voluntary committees in the college, university, community, and professional organizations that contribute to the Edson College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation, Arizona State University, the individual as a professional, and to higher education.
- Participates in appointed and voluntary activities that contribute to the college, university and community.
- Actively participates in departmental initiatives and activities
- Participates in faculty governance of the College and University.
- Is a member of the Edson College Academic Assembly
- Contributes to Edson 2026 Strategic Goals
- Participates in the strategic plan of the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation
- Supports the Dean’s initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Holds a graduate degree that supports foundational expertise in healthcare compliance and regulations, health law, or a healthcare-related field, by time of appointment
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching in baccalaureate or graduate-level courses in a higher-education institution or equivalent experience.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Holds a certification in healthcare compliance through the Healthcare Compliance Association, Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, or another compliance organization
Desired Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in a field that supports a foundational understanding of health care compliance and regulations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing curriculum
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Work experience in the healthcare compliance industry
- Skill in problem-solving and decision-making
- Active contributions and service in professional organizations supporting healthcare compliance and regulations, best practices, and innovation in the industry
