Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors at Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation are a select group of students who provide support to the Edson College's recruitment team through outreach to prospective students and participation in recruitment events. Student ambassadors have the opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills while building their Edson College network.. Additionally, Student Ambassadors at Edson College have the opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills.
Academic Bowl
The Academic Bowl pits teams from ASU’s colleges and schools against each other in lightning-fast question-and-answer rounds. Questions can cover any topic—from world politics and pop culture to history and geography to world literature. If you have a passion for learning, possess a wide range of knowledge about various (possibly obscure) topics, and can quickly hit a buzzer, consider trying out for the team. Not only will you have a blast ring off answers in a fast-paced event, but you also have a chance to win scholarship money and the coveted championship title.
Edson College Community Assistants and Peer Academic Leaders
The Edson College CAs of Gordon Commons and Lantana Hall, and the Peer Academic Leader of Casa De Oro create practical opportunities for first-year students living in Edson College’s residential communities to feel welcome and supported at the Downtown Phoenix and West Valley campuses, as well as ASU. In addition to providing individualized support and academic guidance, these residential student leaders also facilitate weekly in-hall educational programming to meet the various needs of students that are fun and promote a sense of belonging.
Student Success Coaches
Edson College's First-Year Success Coaches, Sophomore Success Coaches, and Transfer Coaches provide individualized and holistic peer coaching services to students within the college. Students are matched with an upper-division or graduate student from Edson College, who serves as a personal connector, cheerleader, and catalyst for success. Typical coaching sessions last 30 minutes and are highly flexible and customizable.
USG Senators
Edson College's USG Senators are student leaders who represent the college as members of ASU's Undergraduate Student Government and are the only members with voting rights in regard to legislation. They have the ability to both craft and vote on legislation that can impact all aspects of the university. All senators serve on two committees, which produce legislation relevant to the business of the committee. Legislation is discussed at biweekly senate meetings, which alternate with biweekly committee meetings.
Senators can help Edson College students with almost everything you can imagine when it comes to your overall experience at ASU. Funding for trips, events or programs you want to see initiated, student organizations you want to get involved with or launch — information about all these topics can be gleaned from your senators.
