Student Ambassadors for Recruitment are a select group of students who support the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation as representatives at recruitment events with prospective students and outreach activities. The Academic Bowl pits teams from ASU’s colleges and schools against each other in lightning-fast question-and-answer rounds. Questions can cover any topic—from world politics and pop culture to history and geography to world literature. If you have a passion for learning, possess a wide range of knowledge about various (possibly obscure) topics, and can quickly hit a buzzer, consider trying out for the team. Not only will you have a blast ring off answers in a fast-paced event, but you also have a chance to win scholarship money and the coveted championship title.

Fall Welcome Student Guides
Fall Welcome Guides serve as members of the Edson College Student Engagement team who engage with incoming first-year students and assist with their transition into the college environment the week before classes begin in August. The Fall Welcome Experience with Edson College includes move-in events, Sun Devil Tuesday, the College Assembly, and more throughout the week! This leadership role will also allow you the opportunity to get to know your peers, engage with faculty, staff, and college leadership, and create memorable experiences, not only for our new students as we welcome them to the college and ASU, but for yourself as well!
First-Year Success Coach
Edson College First-Year Success Coaches (FYSC) provide individualized and holistic peer coaching services to first-year and sophomores within the college. Students are matched 1 to 1 with an upperclassman or graduate student from Edson college, who serves as a personal connector, cheerleader, and catalyst for success. Typical coaching sessions last 30-minutes and are highly flexible and customizable. FYSC’s are leaders in Edson college and other college activities. They are connectors to university resources, cheerleaders that encourage and motivate students while keeping the accountable and catalysts who help spur student success by modeling behaviors of a highly successfully ASU student.

Senators are a part of the legislative branch of USG and are the only members with voting rights in regards to legislation. They have the ability to both craft and vote on legislation that can impact all aspects of the university. All senators serve on two committees, which produce legislation relevant to the business of the committee. Legislation is discussed at biweekly senate meetings, which alternate with biweekly committee meetings.
Senators can help you with almost everything you can imagine when it comes to your overall experience at ASU. Funding for trips, events or programs you want to see initiated, student organizations you want to get involved with or launch — information about all these topics can be gleaned from your senators.
