Clinical Research Management and Regulatory Science Clinical Track Faculty

Arizona State University, Edson College of Nursing & Health Innovation is seeking a full time, non-tenure track, 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor to teach in Doctorate of Professional Practice Regulatory and Clinical Research Management (DPP) and Master’s Clinical Research Management and Regulatory Science degrees. This position requires in- person participation as a clinical track faculty member. This is not a remote teaching position.

Expectations (based on qualifications for rank):

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge in the field and the ability to transmit and extend that knowledge to students and others through dynamic, stimulating and creative strategies. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop critical, creative thinkers through continuous planning, analyses, evaluation and revision of courses and workshops. 
  • Demonstrates current knowledge in the field and sustained effectiveness in teaching in the classroom and clinical area.
  • Teaches in a variety of environments, which may include classroom, community/internships or distance/online. 
  • Teaches on multiple campus sites as required/applicable
  • Develops, implements and evaluates innovative teaching methods.
  • Incorporates scholarly and creative activities into clinical practice and teaching.
  • Participates in professional service through membership on elected, appointed, and voluntary committees in the college, university, community, and professional organizations that contribute to the Edson College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation, Arizona State University, the individual as a professional, and to higher education.
  • Participates in appointed and voluntary activities that contribute to the college, university and community.
  • Actively participates in departmental initiatives and activities
  • Participates in faculty governance of the College and University.
  • Is a member of the Edson College Academic Assembly
  • Contributes to Edson 2026 Strategic Goals
  • Participates in the strategic plan of the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation
  • Supports the Dean’s initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Holds a Doctorate from a regionally accredited school in health management, pharmacy, regulatory science, law, clinical research, medical field, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of teaching graduate level courses in clinical research management and/or regulatory science
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:

    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing curriculum in clinical research and/or regulatory science graduate level courses.
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Ability to forge effective relationships with industry sponsors and thought leaders.
    • Strong knowledge of current issues and practices in the development, evaluation, approval and post surveillance of medical products.
    • Active contributions and service in professional organizations supporting quality, best practices, and innovation in the regulatory, clinical professions and academic programs.
