Program description

Designed to take students' thinking and career to the next level, this nationally recognized DNP program leverages innovation theory, complexity science and the application of the latest evidence to advanced health system outcomes.

This program of study is for leaders --- e.g., chief nurse executive, strategist, informaticist or clinical director --- who want to create sustainable health care in the communities they serve.

Health care is a rapidly changing field. While highly trained nurses are needed now more than ever, employers are also looking for graduates who understand how to deliver care throughout diverse communities and to develop new policies and practices. The Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation offers multiple undergraduate degrees that prepare students for the challenges of modern health care.

Human trafficking is a world-wide public health and social justice issue. Although it spans every country, it is also happening in the United States in cities and rural communities, and it can impact anyone regardless of age, gender, socio economic status, race, or sexual identity.

This course will provide an overview of the two main types of trafficking: sex and labor, and an insight into the terminology used, red flags, who the buyers are, and more.

Human trafficking is happening all around us – this course will help you recognize it, and know what to do.
